December 2023

It’s time for us to make our yearly return to Thailand to reconnect with our family there. A lot needs to be accomplished in the short time we will be there. We will have a dedication for the new church in Na Khrai. (Click on “December 2023” above to view the complete newsletter.)

My dad passed away peacefully on August 16th. He was ready to be home. He was dedicated to our Lord during his 93 years of life. He was the example in my life that made it very easy for me to understand the love of our Heavenly Father. (Click on “September 2023” above to view the complete newsletter.)

Reading our newsletter from one year ago, the title was, “Is This the Year?”, and it definitely was the year. At that time we were anticipating the possibility of returning to Thailand after two long years away. We were hoping 2022 would be the year. By the time you read this newsletter, these bags will be packed and we’ll be waiting in Detroit for the second leg of our travel to Thailand. The complete trip will take about 27 hours with stops in Detroit and Seoul, Korea, before we finally arrive in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We finally have airline tickets purchased and will be returning to Thailand in October! It has been three years since we were last there. We waited until October because Korean Air will open up their flights from Seoul, Korea, to Chiang Mai, Thailand, on October 1st. (Click on “June 2022” above to view the complete newsletter.)

December 2021

As I look back on past newsletters, the last time we were in Thailand
was November 2019 for the dedication of the new multi-purpose
building. We had plans in 2020 to return and had to cancel trips three
different times that year. (Click on “December 2021” above to view the complete newsletter.)

Cricket is a sport that we know little about, but several of the children at Gethsemane love it. Two of our Gethsemane girls, Sunida and Rachel, have been playing cricket at a high level for several years and are now on the Thailand National Women’s Cricket Team.
